The stock coin program is set to recognise USA coins among trashy areas and has quite a high discrimination.
I think if he had used coin/jewelry he would have got much more deeper and solid signals from those items with the advantage of it discriminating against the iron.
Wind up the preamp and ac sensitivity and you will be digging some VERY deep targets ;P
Come on WOLF, lets see a few vids showing what the DFX is really capable of!!

It’s exactly what Mr. Lynn said: Pick the right program, and it will work. Pick the wrong one, and it’ll struggle.
So you’re correct by saying, if you’re after other tragets, you have to change programs.

Hi there. There is NO DIFFERENCE between the DFX 300 and the regular DFX, except that they put on a 12″ coil instead of the 9.5″ coil and the box has a different paint job/decals.
I think you should wait a few months, there is a totally new machine in the works, and NO it’s not the TDI or the 6T.

What do you think about the new DFX 300? I’ve been thinking about it, what do you say?

This video is somewhat misleading. He complains that the detector does not do a very good job detecting these coins. Well, thats EXACTLY what the DFX SHOULD be doing.
This a USA detector, and he has it set in the COIN program, which is designed around the signals that USA coins produce, the targets he has chosen look like JUNK to the DFX! If you were to program the VDI numbers into the DFX that match the coins in the area you are detecting, then you would see excellent results.

I own the DFX and quickly found that the machine is not for those who don’t try to learn all it can do. I’d put it against about any machine out there including the minelab explorer se. Nice video even it didn’t do any justice for this detector.
